I have read through your site and after seeing some of your response to the SAB, I wanted to say you are doing a fantastic job of facilitating the truth. Though truth really needs no help, for it will abound in any atmosphere when it is searched and desired after, you have done a great job of allow others to see it by your response. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated. TJ

RE: Ruth & Naomi; David & Jonathan - homosexual examples?
Thank-you for this insightful article. I am thankful for the Biblical and ancient Hebrew insights that reinforce God's Word and His character with regard to homosexuality.

I am a first time visitor to your website. To be honest, I stumbled upon it quite by accident while viewing the Skeptic's Annotated Bible. Having been raised in the Baptist church, I know a lot of the answers and refutations that are taught to many a child in Sunday school. However, I found many of your answers laughable and contrived. I am amazed at the mental gymnastics I have seen on this website. While I do think that a few (and only a select few!) of the contradictions that the SAB points out are "splitting hairs" or simply not contradictions, many of them are quite significant indeed.

It is the premise that...

Saw your email on a Christian site that talked against homosexuality, so just wondered if you knew where there was anything against same sex romantic love as I can't find anything on this in my bible.

Assuming Luke was tracing Mary's genealogy - which he clearly states he wasn't - how do you reconcile Matthew's genealogy whereby he skips Uzziah's/Azariah's father, his grandfather, and his great-grandfather - and has him become the son of his great-great-grandfather - Joram/Jehoram? The kingly line is clearly established in the Bible. Isn't it possible that Matthew simply didn't know Jesus' genealogy and was guessing as best he could, since he didn't have the benefit of Luke's genealogy in front of him?

I was looking at the rebuttal of skeptics annotated bible on the one that says "Enoch is/isnt the seventh son from Adam" That means that there must be six between the two of them. There is only five. You must exclude Adam from the count. There is a contradiction. Unless you can explain.

God told Adam the truth that he would 'mut' and after the serpent said he would not 'mut', the next time 'mut' is use is "Adam lived 930 years and then 'muted'.

This declares God is truthful and Satan is a liar. Don't confuse people by agreeing with Satan and telling people that they will not die. They will not live forever unless they believe God and His word that was given for them. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him. The wages of sin is death and our Lord paid for our punishment by dieing and now if anyone believes in the Son, they will have eternal life and Jesus will raise them up on the last day.

If you get life and death straight, all Scripture will come alive and the truth will set your free. People who don't believe do not have eternal death "life" in a place of torment and are imperishable and are indestructible. No wonder people are so confused. The Lord Himself tell us that "Go so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not PERISH but have eternal life." The main church teaches that "It's not a matter of if you are going to LIVE but where you are going to Live".

I believed that my whole life until God took me on a journey through His Word and simply should me that life means life and death means death and our hope is in God just like Paul's was that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. And a day is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His (Jesus') voice and come out, thosew ho have done good will rise to LIVE and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned (The wages of sin is death).
And everyone who's name was not found written in the book of Life was thrown into the Lake of fire, which IS THE SECOND DEATH.

For the goodness of our God and Lord's character,
Brian

The remarriage of a woman who was divorced by her husband due to the husband's own selfishness and not because of fornication or adultery on either party would be considered 1 sin of adultery??? True or False??? by the partners who married??? Then the death of one of the remarried adulterers would no longer pertain as adultery if remarriage as a widow?? Please respond...

I have been looking at the replies you post on the claims put in the SAB webpage and have to say that I found almost all your replies simply unsatisfactory. You are giving your interpretation of waht is written in the bible and telling us that there is no contradiction. But there is no reason why we shoul accept your interpretation when any average person is perfectly capable of maiking his own interpretations. I can site so many examples for thsi but I wil just mention one or two. About the city of Ai for instance the writers could have simply said it was not rebuilt for a long time and there is no need to use the word forever but it is the word they used and there is no reason that we should accept your lame explanation that forever means a long time. Again about Absalom's sons why should we accept your ramblings abount Absalom being self absorbed to the point of denouncing his sons. If that was the case what is the problem for the verses to be written so instead of contradicting. Any rational person knows that if you are telling or writing the truth and what you actually witnessed then there is no room for contradiction. On the other hand when you write on the basis of hearsay or fabrication of what did not happen as in the case in the four gospels, then it is utterly difficult if not impossible to be consistent.

No matter how many times you write 'there is no contradiction' the fact remains that the bible is not only full of contradictions, but also of indecency, cruelty, genocide, inquality of the sexes and what have you.

I just read what you had to say about handling snakes or drinking poison. I asked the same question to a couple of Christians who knocked at my door recently and they gave me another answer, they said that it is true but they cannot do it in front of me because somewhere else in the Bible it says that you cannot tempt God. You are also probably aware that dozens of Christians actually died because of this belief.

My point here is not to say who is right or who is wrong but to wonder why a so powerful and all-knowing God was not able to write the Bible more clearly so that there is no possible confusion or misunderstanding. An all-knowing God should have known that faithful Christians would die because of this sentence in the Bible. Mark 16:17 says "And these signs shall follow them that believe", it is everything but obvious that Jesus was only talking about the Apostles. And if that was the case, why not just say "And these signs shall follow the Apostles". Also, Mark 16:18 says: "they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover". An all-knowing God should have known that faith healers would scam tens of thousands of faithful people.

If snake handling and healing was only for the Apostles, why not write it in the Bible loud and clear? This stupid mistake has caused the death of dozens of Christians and the ripoff of thousands of Christians (especially the poor ones).

When I read your "Answering the Atheist", it seems that the Bible was written so that only educated people from the 20th century could understand it and read between the lines. If tomorrow I give some Bibles to natives of the islands of Melanesia in the South Pacific, what do you think they will understand from Mark 16:17-18? Will they understand that it concerns only the Apostles? I really doubt it. The Bible was written for everybody, that includes you and I but also any shepherd from the 5th century.

You have done an amazing job with your website but the problem for me is that you are only looking for one explanation that can more or less answer a contradiction and then you proudly conclude that there is no contradiction in the Bible. I can apply the same method to prove that Peter Pan and Wonderland really exist. A lot of apeterpanists like you will certainly give me some serious objections, but tust me, I will be able to answer all of them. Look at all the 9/11 conspiracy websites, they also answer every objection, same with the moon landing conspiracy. Does that make them true? Of course not. You can believe that there were some explosives hidden in the twin towers and that the building structure was previously weakened and that the CIA was responsible for this attack, but there is a much simpler explanation: this was a terrorist attack. Same thing with the Bible, you can explain all the contradictions and the scientific errors in the Bible with more or less conclusive answers or with a very simple explanation: it was just written by ignorant and superstitious people.

Sincerely,
Bernard (former born again Chrisian)

Hi LUJ, I'm Alan Carroll - email removed

Question: Can you direct me please? Is there any record of Saul's henchmen ever refuting Bible accounts of Paul's Damascus Road experience? Has there been any discussion of this that you are aware of? Surely the Jews of the time would have taken to the task with glee, to find a refuter among the henchmen in Saul's possie of Jewish Christian-haters rounding up Christians. (I'd like to be able to tell others that there's no record of them ever finding one.)

Thankyou. I found your very valuable site by googling "Apostle Paul Damascus Road lie", motivated by a recently-retired university professor of economics - a friend of three years with whom I've only just got an opening to talk about the Bible. Over lunch yesterday he told me that Apostle Paul was a liar who distorted Christian teaching. So I'm very grateful for your article
www.lookinguntojesus.net/20041219.htm.

In return, if you don't know about it yet, let me recommend the New Testament Recovery Version which has the most extensive notes of any Bible I've ever seen. It shows remarkable depth and consistency in revelation throughout. It's given free by any "local church" in the USA and world-wide locatable by googling Witness Lee or last Adam.

I'm truly sorry that a website committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and the work done on the cross would have to be compromised with junk mail to the extent that you had to accept everything by e-mail. Wow! You're getting closer. Every one of your objections to the work to the work of Christ on the cross is answered in the scriptures. You'll need to keep reading and going over them. The amazing thing is that you've heard the gospel. The command is to repent and believe it, "...which the Son of Man will give to you..." It is God's gift.

Regarding your first objection Mat. 7:21-23 (below): The truth taught is that they did not believe the Gospel. But rather they believed that something other than Christ, or rather Christ + something would save them....

Dear brothers and sisters of the family of God:
The song "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty includes the words, "only thou art holy." This is nto theologically correct. It conflicts with the scriptures which plainly speak of the "holy angels." The only way this could be explained away is if there is more than one meaning to the word holy and as far as I know this is not the case. Your article mentioned that God commands us to be holy as He is holy. I agree that He does. You, furthermore, state, quite rightly, that God would not command something of us that would be impossible for us to achieve. To command something of us that we could not attain would, indeed, entail sheer absurdity. However, isn't it true that we Christians on this earth are undergoing a process of sanctification, a process of spiritual growth in our journey towards holiness? Isn't holiness achieved only when glorification takes place? If so, isn't this process of sanctification leading to glorification and holiness compatible with God's command to be Holy? We are saved now, but isn't it true that our "salvation draweth nigh", as well? Isn't it true that when that salvation which is drawing nigh arrives we shall be glorified and be made sinless and holy? Is this also not that perfection that the Bible speaks of in the following words: "when that which is perfect has come"?

The Bible says, "By His stripes we are healed," and this entails that healing is provided for by what Christ did on the cross for us. Right? But what the Bible doesn't say is that that healing always takes place here on earth. Right? Why then do so many Christians wonder why God doesn't always heal everybody? One day we will be perfectly healed when we receive our perfect incorruptible bodies and this is provided for in the atonement. In fact the whole creation, everything that God has created, is now groaning awaiting the redemption that is provided for in Christ's atonement. Am I not theologically correct in this? Christ makes everything new. There will be a new heaven and a new earth.

What do you think of all this? Thank you for reading what I had to say. God bless.

Regarding the guestbook number 253: You edited out the very thing that was important in my e-mail for you and your readers to consider, ponder and think about. The message was about the Gospel of Christ. The good news that Christ alone and his work are sufficient for His people. Consider John 19:30, and Christ's words "it is finished" and what "it" means.

Here is an article from the web site you deleted:

And another one http://outsidethecamp.org/egd.htm (Click here for a review of this article, wjs)

Some of the other articles at this site are also worth reading and it would behoove all of your sheep (or goats as the case may be, God knows) to read them.

Regarding my posting of the commentary of 1 Peter 3:21. I prefaced it as: "here is another view on baptism to consider". Did you not read this? I copied the commentary into the e-mail for your reading. Not as my own but rather as "another view to consider".

The commentary (by Robertson) is in the public domain and most (if not all) bible readers will recognize it and require no introduction of list of credits to go along. I do not (and did not) lay any claim to the commentary as you suggested. I may or may not agree with Robertson's conclusions, and did not indicate one way or the other. Commentaries are just that: Commentary. But I did want you to read it. Thank-you for doing so.

Please post this as guestbook number 256 (or latest) without editing. At least keep the web links to the articles if nothing else.

Thank-you.

Hi there

I have just stumbled across your website and so far am liking what I see

I was raised in the Church of Christ in Winnipeg and currently reside in an area of BC which has no church. It is something that I struggle with daily. Churches in our town teach "faith only" salvation where I firmly believe in the necessity and urgency of baptism, the cleansing through the blood of Christ

I would love to be in contact with someone if that be possible. I am the mother of 6 beautiful children, ages 9 through to 24.

I hope to hear from you,

I went and looked up the verses you use to proclaim the gospel of baptism. I used Young's Literal Translation, the American Standard Version (1901) (I like this version) and Green's Literal Version of the Bible (also good). None of the verses you've used prove your doctrine. It only proved to me that the doctrine of baptismal regeneration is made up and not scriptural. The way I see it, baptism is a testimony of faith (similar to confession) for a good conscience towards God....

Hi there-

While researching the David/Elhanan problem, I came across this page:
http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20020602.htm

Your answer is incorrect. The verse you quote in 2 Samuel (21:19) doesn't have the words "brother of" in it in the original Hebrew. This is a contextual addition provided by English translators to get the verse to match up with 1 Chronicles 20:5.

So, you haven't resolved the conflict, but rather brought up another one: 1 Samuel says David killed Goliath, 2 Samuel says Elhanan killed Goliath, and 1 Chronicles says that Elhanan killed the brother of Goliath.

See the original Hebrew here (English translation). You'll find that the controversy is still alive and well.

Cheers!

-jake

Jake,
Go back and re-read the article. It addresses the likely textual corruption which ocurred through the hand of a scribe. It is certainly possible for the eyes of a copyist to skip from one line to the next, as Clarke's commentary indicates.

Hi,
I am emailing you on a passage of scripture you have on your website in which you defend. The one I am referring to is on this page:

http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20040125.htm

In the story of Jephthah, in Judges 11:29-40, Jephthah did in fact kill and offer up his daughter as a sacrifice. How do we know? He states "whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a BURNT offering." He outright says "a burnt offering". Later in the story it says that he "did with HER according to his vow which he had vowed". What did he vow? Was it to make his daughter remain a virgin or to offer a burnt offering? But how do we know for sure that this is what happened? You overlooked the last part. In Judges 11:40 it says "the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite for days in a year." Do you really think that it became customary in Israel that the "daughters of Israel" cried (or Lamented) because Jephthah's daughter had to remain a virgin?? No.....

Please visit here for the rest of John's comment and a response.

Your argument against his is a little judgmental as well as making assumptions. Christ said not to Judge, yet you Judge him as an atheist.

God gave us minds to think with. Thomas and John the Baptist had their doubts and they were there. I find it harder to accept much of the Bible as I used to because I read it and questioned it. I am glad that the person who started SAB is there, who has the guts to question. His comments and observations are not all false, as the Bible is not all lies, however discerning the truth is sometimes very difficult, if at all possible. Your truth may not hold true for me or vis versa, does that mean I go to Hell?

Thanks
Robert

Richard Branham (249)

Dear Sirs:
I ran across your web site and have looked at some of your attempts to resolve the many contradictions found in the Bible. Being a professional astronomer I was particularly intrigued by your supposed resolution of the contradiction between what John says about when Mary Magdalene came to the tomb ("while it was still dark") and what the other Gospels have to say, particularly Mark ("at the rising of the Sun"). Your explanation won't hold water. It is not still "dark" during dwilight. To be specific, there are actually three types of twilight, astronomical, nautical, and civil. The first two needn't bother us because they are of importance only to astronomers and navegators. But civil twilight is an important concept. It is the period between when the upper limb of the Sun, affected by refraction, is on the horizon and when the Sun is 6 degrees below the horizon, either rising or setting. During civil twilight a person in an open space (not inside a building) on a clear day can distinguish objects without using artificial illumination. Therefore, it is not "dark" but "light".
To maintain that it was dark during twilight is a far from trivial matter. I am sometimes called upon to emit an opinion on astronomical matters that pertain to civil and criminal law. Last year I was asked about a case where a homeowner had shot, but not killed a burgler in the patio of his house. He had used a 45, a powerful handgun. The law in the Province of Mendoza says that if the incident occured during the day or when there is sufficient light the use of a 45 constitutes "excessive force." On the other hand, if it occured while still dark, the force was reasonable. Fortunately for the homeowner, he had shot the burgler 15 minutes before the beginning of civil twilight and was not charged. Had the incident happened 15 minutes later, and thus during civil twilight, he would have been guilty of use of excessive force. The difference between having a case dismissed and maybe spending 15 years in prison can hardly be called a triviality.
Interestingly, the NIV translation of the Bible handles this contradiction in another way. Apparently the translators realize that an explanation such as yours is ridiculous, and therefore they deliberately mistranslate what John says. Instead of having Mary "arrive" at the tomb while it is still dark, the have her "leave" for the tomb while it is still dark. They obviously want to convey the impression that Mary left while it was dark and arrived while the Sun was rising. Unfortunately for them, the Gospel of John is available in Greek on the internet. John uses the Greek verb "ergomai", which means to arrive, not the Greek verb "apergomai", which means to leave. Thus, Mary did not leave for the tomb, she arrived while it was still dark.
No matter how you slice the cake, there is a hard contradiction between John and the other Gospels.
Sincerely,
Dr. Richard L. Branham, Jr., Astronomer
Head, Dept. of Geomatics
Argentine Institute for Snow and Ice Studies

Thanx for such a good and interesting web site. Very informative and answers many little questions that pops up from time to time. Such as the so called counter dictions. I tend to be more of the RC persuasion but like all Christians we question, It is nice to see answers and perspectives that are fresh and not new. I found a couple of the remarks made to you disturbing, however I am glad that you answer and publish them.

I was in the Military and Foreign Affairs in my time and discovered very sadly what supposed Christians have done in the world first hand in the name of Jesus. This is to me so sad. As it reflex on those that are truly Christian. For an example what the Republican Party in the United States has been doing around the world and then backing it up with the Bible in hand.

Any way I lived in the fantastic City of Kingston for a number of years, and glad to see good things coming from there such as your site.

I am going to respond to your section on "Will those who call on the Lord be delivered."

The bible says yes and no both contradictions. You say that these were written at different times for different purposes.

But also you say the the bible is a book that you should apply your life to, both old and new testament. Also you say that this part of the Bible is meant for a different part of time. Well then why is it in there. Why would got put this part of the bible in there if he knew that people of today would read this.

On another point of Matthew 15:4 which says if you smart back to your parents you should die. it says this plainly there is no way to deny that this is what it says. You may think there is but there isn't.

I will leave you with a quote: "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, the wise false, and by the leaders useful." - Seneca

Many of the people that sponsor this site probably voted for Bush because he said he was a "Christain". But I would challenge you, why is Bush a part of the skull and bones if he is a Christain and also I would ask why is he still today part of Bohemain Grove (if you don't know what this is check it out on google vido.) Also if Bush is a Christain I would like you to check out who Anne Goodman is and what Bush did for her. CHECK IT OUT!!!

Hello,
I just read your response, in concern to Sauls trip to Damascus. The contradiction cited by Skepticsannotated was that; First, the men with saul did say they heard god's voice. Then Sauls later account was that they did not hear gods voice. Lookinguntojesus' response was wholly unsatisfactory. It certainly seems like this is a case of special pleading. I'm supposed to believe that they all heard the voice.....but just not what the voice said? Why should anybody believe that? What shold i base this violation of logic on, to rationalize it? MAYBE?.....sometimes.....you can hear voices from god....it's audible to everyone.....BUT..... only diciphered by one chosen person??? Nothing like this has ever been witnessed. Moreover this is a scientific proposition. Do you have scientific, or historical data to support this claim?(other than bible) This is indeed no explanation at all. It defys logic. Special pleading. Didn't happen. Maybe they were high?

Funny where fairy tales get their origins huh?

Thanks for your time,

I came across your site linked to Skeptics Annotated Bible... I was a born-again, highly committed Christian for 24yrs. I went through the OT 4 times a year, and the NT 12 times a year - and I did this for over 20yrs. It was the Bible itself that deconverted me, and so now I'm a highly informed Atheist. I've been able to deconvert MANY blood-bought Christians. Since there is no holy spirit, and Yahweh/Jesus is a negligent parent. his children are no match for me. You see Christians don't "think" they "rationalize".....They rationalize aay all the errors, contradictions and other various inaccuracies. "Questionably plausible" explanations don't really work well for thinking people and it's not that difficult to demonstrate that apologists are intellectually dishonest on several levels. But! The way to defeat an Atheist is to take Biblegod out of the realm of mythology by DEMONSTRABLE acts of supernatural powers e.g....putting arms, legs, and other missing body parts on the fine Christian men/women who were deceived by Bush to fight for god and country in Iraq. Against a "real" supernatural god I would have NO DEFENSE! and would have to sit down. But since all Christians can do is fight with words from an error filled book, they are but mice amongst knowledgeable lions. Matthew 12:38-39 is easily refuted by thinking people and those verses should never be used by an apologist. All Biblegod has to do is anything objectively supernatural, good or bad! Aren't his eternal blood-bought children worth it? If Biblegod was only able to obey his own word, Atheism would fall by the wayside.....Hugh Brennan.

Dear Mr. Stewart,
Regarding the contents of your web site 'LookingUntoJesus', first it looks good to the eye, and well written, but... it is not going to grow in popularity, and I believe that is not your intention, but that some soul may be won to Christ. The Truth that you are teaching, preaching is not popular in this world!! Many, many people are doing it 'their way'. They don't want to be stirred into the Truth of God's Word. They are comfortable following the traditions of men. I also once was snared into such. Until I submitted to God's Word, the Bible and just the Bible. Life has never been more fulfilling than it is now. And yes, as for musical instruments in the churches and the emotionalism that is stirred by it, the Bible as you have proven, does not support such, Listen! If it waslks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck... Then be sure... its a duck, No, I tell my friend .. NO MUSIC ...SEE!! So, leave it out. Take God's Wrod and what is practiced by the christians and do it, if its good enough for them, its certainly good enough for me. It is God's way of speaking to men, and I tell him, my friend, that this is not for to early church only. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is much alive today as the power of His blood.
Many denominations want to 'explain' everything away, "Well we believe this way, and you believe that way..." Listen, I say. Believe what God says and we'll all be believing the Right Way.

Brother In Christ,
Gerard A

Thanks Gerard, for your kind comments. Indeed, our intent is not to grow great in popularity per se, though the Lord has certainly blessed the web site and increased it's regular readership. But indeed, we want to affect the souls of men through the teaching of the pure gospel message.

A small list of murder and support of murder (includes proof Jesus lived by the OT laws and supported them):
Leviticus 20:13; Deuteronomy 21:18-21; Exodus 35:2; Exodus 31:14; Matthew 15:4; Mark 7:10; Leviticus 20:14; Leviticus 21:9; Joshua 7:15, 24-25; Numbers 11:1; Acts 3:23; Hebrews 10:28.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses.
(What Hebrews 10:28 basically means is that God thinks nearly everyone on the earth should die without mercy, and in 29-30 it says that anyone not believing in God should receive much harsher punishment. How many people alive today support the OT laws, such as some of them listed here?)

Loving God? I think not.

Dearest Friends;
I just want to thank you for your sermon on speeding - I have a wonderful 26 year old son, who is a new father. Both he and my beautiful daughter-in-law have difficulties with speeding. I have tried to share what I believe God would want for them in this area, but never seemed to come up with the right words. My fear was that speeding willfully takes us out of God's purpose and possibly protection... Your sermon said everything I wanted to say and I have shared it with them in the hopes that this will be the end of the speeding issue in their little family.
Thank you so very much!

I had a question concerning your response to Salah/Canain question of answering the atheist. In the response, you admit that a discrepancy exists, but that it is of no consequence. I'm assuming you believe in an inerrant Bible and was wondering how you reconcile the existence of a discrepancy in an such a book
I really like the site, and while I don't find the apologetic answers satisfying, I like that you are linked to the SAB so I can at least read the Christian response. Thanks!

Steve,
Thanks goes to Steve Wells, at Skeptics Annotated Bible (SAB) for placing links on his pages to the responses given at our site. He has been gracious to do so. As regards your question above, you may find my response given to Jonathan David helpful.

Hi William (if I may call you by your first name).
I think that those people who say that the Bible contradicts itself do not read their Bible's clearly if they read them at all (I'm mostly talking about Athiests and not so much those who are just confused). Could it be that many of these skeptics are comparing Old Testament to New Testament and that is why they claim contradiction? Second, could the fact that the Bible was written in Hebrew and later translated into English have anything to do with why some people claim the Bible contradicts itself? An example I use is the verse where the Bible says "Hate your father" (I hope I quoted right). This was a contradition someone on the web had that I came across. I think the term "hate" might be a loose term meaning to love the Lord before and above all others. The word hate is just used to emphasize the importance in loving Christ more than anyone. Is that a correct analysis?

In your first response to: "How many men did the chief of David's captains kill?",
you start out by saying "three GREAT corruptions..." occur in this one scripture, but then you go on to say: "the nature of the discrepancy regards material of very MINOR consequence." Well, is it a great corruption or a minor consequence? It seems any scripture tampered with would be more than a minor consequence. Do you think that each scripture represents the whole of our bible? Help me wrape my mind around this. I keep gravitating to - If one scripture has been corrupted in a God-Spirit inspired-book the who is to say that many more are not corrupted. My intended question(s) here that I would appreciate an opinion on is this: Why would God allow some scripture to be corurupted and not others? Is He protecting His word and how much of it? Why some of it and not other parts? Is there any scripture that talks about Gods protection on scripture? What about "Not one jot or tittle will be changed..." (paraphrased)? It does not make sens to me. I can not seem to wrap my mind around this.

Respectfully,
Jonathan David

It's nice to find sites opposing the SAB, which is sadly encouraging the spread of the spirit of the antichrist.. but I find it kind of hard to find what I am looking for, perhaps it could be organized into groups and with a search function?

Greetings!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you continue to return to lookinguntojesus.net. I have been trying to think of a way to organize the answers to supposed contradictions in a more user friendly manner, but am drawing a blank at exactly how to index them. At present, they are indexed through the search feature on our site, which allows you to search by key words. Supposed Bible contradictions really don't lend themselves to easy indexing by topic or even by verse reference. If you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.

I'd just like to say how much I enjoy reading your 'Answering the Atheist' articles. I particularly like the format: is there a contradiction? - discussion - there is no contradiction: simple and effective.

All atheists (and any others that espouse Biblical contradictions) should be directed to your website so that they can have their assertions confirmed!

To whom It may concern

I was looking through some web sites and wanting to get some good messages about whether christians sin or not.

I saw the message you had on that and was impressed.

I do not believe that christians sin, so it was refreshing to read that.

I am showing this to my pastor as that is what he preaches on.

Pastor Lynne

Lynne,

I'm not sure which article you found on our site. There are a few which deal specifically with sin. Two in particular, which deal with the question of whether a child of God sins are found at:
http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20021201.htm
http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20011230.htm

You wrote: "I do not believe that christians sin, so it was refreshing to read that." Neither of the articles listed above, nor any other article on our site says that Christians do not sin. Both articles have the following statement in them: "The Christian may fall to temptation occasionally, but sin is not habitual with the child of God."

The Bible teaches that Christians should not sin; it does not teach that Christians do not sin.

In His Service,
William J. Stewart

Hello,
A section of your website is called "Answering The Atheist", in which you discuss MERELY Christian issues. Surely you don't suppose tat everyone who has a problem with Christianity is an atheist, do you? Maybe "Answering The Non-Christian" would be a better name. There's MUCH more flavors than JUST Christianity OR atheism out there, you know.
Furthermore, I don't think it's very useful to waste your time trying to OK things which are very OBVIOUS flaws anyway.

Hi,
This is LeAnn again. I have highlighted 2 things in this article that I don't understand. Does it mean that a church can't have a kitchen in it or have other ministries that are related to the church like an outreach ministry? Maybe a ministry where you have a separate building for kids when school is done so that they have some lace to go to learn about Jesus and keep them off the streets? Maybe I'm not reading this the right way. I guess I just don't quite understand this part? Thanks!

My name is LeAnn and I live in Nebraska. I have been reading several of your bulletin archives and I have a question concerning a statement made in the Feb 24, 2002 archve titled "Does It Matter What Church We Assemble With?". In the part where it talks about the certain criteria which we ought to use in finding a place to worship, the 3rd one "Worship according to the New Testament pattern", it states that the music should be vocal and not instrumental, does tis mean that you shouldn't use instruments at all? Or are instruments ok to have during worship/music? Thanks!

Re: http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20020331.htm

This page shows that you do not understand the basics of grammar and have created a false comparison to claim that there is no contradiction. Your analogy suggests that there are two sides, which is the Matthew version. The version in Mark and Luke says that those who are not against are with. Therefore, in your analogy, anyone wearing a white jersey is for us, but so is anyone wearing any color other than that of the opposing team. Substitute color of religion. The sports metaphor suggests that there are only two sides. This is patently false and is contrary to the passages in Mark and Luke.

Your cliam that the verses are not contradictory is false.

Hello! I just found your site by searching for sermons on baptism. Thanks so much for the debate format, I haven't finished reading them, but this is the kind of direct comparison I find helpful in understanding challenging issues.

Do you have any plans to tackle more topics in this format? If not, can you recommend other sites that address issues in this way (specifically, I'm interested in debates on rapture/tribulation)?

Thanks for your work, and God bless your continued efforts

Hello,
Thanks for visiting, and I'm glad you are benefiting from the material at our site. There are two written debates available on our site, Is Baptism Necessary For Salvation?, and Is Salvation By Faith Alone?

We have no other written debates on our site, nor are they any present plans for additional debates. That said, I am always open to constructive discussion and debate of issues with interested individuals.

There are a couple other sites which I am aware of that have debates listed at them, ChristIsTheWay.com and Padfield.com.

Hope that helps, and please return often.

Hi, enjoy the site it's always good to see the more "informed" devout stand up and fight back.

Because through your defiance you reveal the true, final, complete failing of christianity.

"His will is being accomplished, through the free will of humanity" I love that a christian response site is littered with such glaring contradictions.

Belief is insanity(delusion) and sanity(honesty) combined, attempting to rationalise it in the face of pure logic is not only futile but frankly laughable.

I was made an outcast in primary school for not attending the compulsory protestant indoctrination, forced to sit and wait at the back of the class doing nothing, often alone (wonder how jesus or any truly holy person would consider that) however hilariously it was I who was the only person to actually engage the teacher. Even at 8 years old i managed to politely pick apart the inconsistencies of the faith. Despite all this, I still accept the possibility of God and believe it or not I do love you and every single human being on the planet. This is because I accept evolution, therefore all humanity originated from a single point on the planet. Thus means one family inbreeding for hundreds of thousands of years, to get to us. The whole race is technically one very separated family, making you and I distant cousins.

I believe in the possibility of a metaphysical, benevolent force. Unfortunately, the cult following of a prophet loses credibility bloody rapidly when the majority of scriptures constituting the cult weren't even written by the prophet, or written within his lifetime, sometimes not even from his region. (James "saw visions" after he realized his little bro, who he'd never met, was receiving martyrdom? You truly buy that?)

I'm sorry, it doesn't take much research to realise your faith has been hurriedly cobbled together by forces aiming to control masses. Christianity is widely, but hesitantly, acknowledged as having the greatest number of contradictions of the major religions. I'm afraid you have little choice but to accept this, grin like a child and enjoy your faith.

I don't say for a moment there's no power or value in belief. Nor that passages of the Bible aren't inspiring, brilliant and perhaps fundamental to the basic truth of life and intelligence. Just that sometimes the organisations left to represent the beliefs act in defiance of their chosen scripts, perhaps unintentionally. Someone who accepts original sin, that all men are corrupt at birth, should surely accept that any institution of man is also inevitably sinful. This includes churches, and even the original writers of the bible.

Frankly, I find it hard to believe your work can be considered Christian, when faith doesn't require and even defies reason and rationality. I feel a better application of your piety would be to help those who need it. Not the wealthiest most influential institution on the planet.

You'd hate to be a hypocrite :)

Once again, my love

Our church's lay reading from Palm Sunday

John 19:9-24 from NIV:
Meanwhile the high priest [i.e. Caiaphas, per John 18:13] questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.
"I have spoken openly to the world," Jesus replied. "I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said?"
..
Then Annas sent him, still bound, to Caiaphas the high priest.
..[Peter's second and third denials]...
John 18:28 Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the place of the Roman governor.

Being in publishing, I would just say it's an editorial error, and the author or compiler got Annas and Caiaphas confused or some similar error. I am less thrilled that Jesus seemingly thought hearsay acceptable when given the opportunity to speak for himself on the record, or the next statement from Annas/Caiaphas might be "The witness is instructed to answer the question."

I would appreciate your thoughts or clarification. Thanks

I viewed yoru diagrams at
http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20030302.htm

I noticed the human diagram, you said that:

Person A=Human
Person B=Human
Person C=Human

But Person A doesn't equal B, ect.

your saying that, each person is Human, while remanining different from the other 2 person's.

I agree. Perfectly good logic and reason. I commend you on that.

Now, let's take that same logic/reason and apply it to your God diagram.

You said that:

Father=God
Son=God
Holy Spirit=God

So, if we were to use YOUR logic from the diagram concerning the Person/Human relationship, and apply it to your God diagram, what would happen, is that your saying the father=God, the Son=God and the Ghost=God, as in they all equal their own god, yet remain differently from each other..

So through your own logic, you defeated youself, throughj your own logic, you showed that there are 3 gods, which remain different each other, just there are 3 humans, who remain different from each other.

Good work.

Nick

To whom it may concern;
I found your website by way of a link from the skeptic's annotated bible. The contradictions in your bible are many and you cannot reconcile them all. You can say that certain contradictions "don't matter," but the fact of the matter is this: it is impossible for me to consider the bible any more divine in origin than any other sacred text. Anyone who has even a smattering of understanding how the bible was assembled, and some knowledge of the history of Christianity, will be hard-pressed to maintain even the most tenuous faith in Christian doctrine. This is not a satanically-inspired evalutation, but an objective assessment made without the blinders installed by "faith."

Only one problem with your analysis given on your webpage below.

Ephraim and Mannaseh were only six years old when Jacob came to Egypt. They sat on his knee to receive the blessing. The septuagint was deliberately changed by the church to fit the mistake made by Stephen.

FROM YOUR WEBSITE
Why does Luke list 75? The Septuagint, which Luke would have used as a source, includes the following in Genesis 46:27, "...the sons of Joseph who were with him in Egypt, were nine souls...", and therefore concludes, "...all the souls of the house of Jacob which came with Jacob into Egypt, were seventy-five souls."

The number of travellers with Jacob is given as 66 persons (v 26). Follow the math with me:
66 - travellers with Jacob to Egypt;
2 - sons of Jacob already in Egypt (Joseph & Benjamin)
2 - grandsons of Jacob already in Egypt (Ephraim & Manasseh)
5 - great-grandsons of Jacob already in Egypt (1 Chr 7:14-21)

75 - the number of people listed by Luke, and by the Septuagint version of Genesis 46:27.

There is no contradiction.

Many of your responses to Ms Shriner's claims were answered very half heartedly. As an example:

Shriner erroneously speaks of the "Christian Pope". The Pope is not a Christian.

It is obvious that what you are saying is that the Pope is not your idea of a Christian. But the fact remains that to the Catholics and Jews, the Pope and the Catholics are the original Christians and while there are thousands of off-shoots, they still consider themselves the "Mother Church" and the off-shoots as simply misdirected children. While the Catholic church holds that Peter was their original Pope, new evidence makes it increasingly clear that Paul and his followers wrote the books attributed to Peter as well as many other new testament books. I am extremely confident that you and Ms Shriner will soon know for all certainty that Saul/Paul was, and in a sense still is the greatest opposer to the Messiah.

super website...recently appreciated the articles on grace, especially "36 texts that show we can fall from grace".
Please keep up the good work.

May I suggest a printer friendly button??
Thanks for all you hard work in service to the Master teacher!
In Christ,

Thanks for the suggestion Dave. Perhaps in the future, once I become familiar with CSS, I'll add "Printer Friendly" buttons to the articles. As it is now, if I am not mistaken, since the navigation buttons are on the right, if you click "print" in your browser, the entire article should print, without any text being left out.

I was convicted about speeding a few months ago. I realized that if I justify speeding, then I might as well justify anything else that I want to do. If I am going to be real, then I must be real in every aspect. It is funny, because just a few weeks ago, I drove past a state trooper on the interstate, and I instinctively pressed the brakes. The funny part is that I was not speeding. It is a wonderful thing to drive past a police officer with no guilt or fear.
Thanks for standing for what is Right! I have taken a lot of flack for this stand.
Lee Tomlin

Lee,
Glad to hear of your conviction with regard to speeding. It saddens me that so many who claim to be servants of the Lord see nothing wrong with violating such a simple law of the land.

I was reading your explanation for the, as the apologist say "apparent" contradiction in Judges 1:19. I have been searching on the internet for a answers so that I can get to the bottom of this. In your response you said that though the verse says that the people were unable to drive them out, later the bible says that they simply did not drive out the inhabitants. So which is it, could not, or just did not. That seems itself to be a contradiction. I never assumed the verse to be saying that God could not do something, but that Judah who had the lord with him could not do something. If the lord was with him why could he not do it? If he had sinned why did the lord abide with him and help him destroy supposedly sinful people? Double standard?

I just wanted to say thanks again for taking the time to answer my question! Your explanation makes perfect sense and agrees 100% with what the bible says. Your site is such great resource for people who really care about what the bible teaches. It is good to see that people still havea a desire to know the truth. If you are willing, I do have a question which I hope you can answer for me. (I know this is not a discussion forum please forgive!).

1. Romans 4:9-12 talks about circumcision and righteousness. Many of my Baptist friends use this verse to show that baptism is not necessary for salvation since circumcision is compared to baptism in colossians. Verse 10 of romans 4 reads, "was it after he was circumcised or before? it was not after but before"
Basically they replace circumcision with baptism and say that we are righteous before we are baptised and therefore saved. How is this passage meant to be interpreted without being contradictory?

You really don't expect me to believe that you have coreectly addressed all charges of contradiction, do you? Just because you say there is no contradiction, does not mean there are none. No amount of explaining is going to right the contradictions. Inly the weak-minded will believe that you have addressed and explained away the contradictions.

I have read your page here the day after I went to a Wayman Mitchell healing session in Oceanside California. I am on line to see what is said about him. I went in for my daughter who has life threatening seizures. My mother, sister and I went in hands up believing, for my daughter Sarahs healing. We will try anything for her. What we saw, and experienced was evil. Mr. Mitchell referred to homosexuals as faggots. I personally do not believe homosexuality is right, however, hate is a bigger crime in my eyes. He denounced a woman for being catholic. Removed a budhist necklace from another person, denouncing it. Nothing christian was in those acts to me. While on stage I saw a woman be "partially" healed of pain, and she then after walked back to us who were waiting, and one woman asked her how she felt, she was then whisked away by Mitchells servents before she could answer, demons are what I saw. what worries me is Mitchell has a good delivery before his healing session. People want to believe, and they are disappointed, leaving them angry, at god? faith? people? my emotions were mixed. We then after prayed together, and concluded that our Sarah was an angel, and these devils were the ones who needed healing. I look forward to judgement day, when god makes it all right. the beast, (greed) has grown out of control. Can anyone refer me to a real bible based church in north San Diego area?
sincerely

Concerning your article on Rabbits Chewing Cud, located at
http://www.lookinguntojesus.net/ata20010610.htm

Dr. Norman Geisler and numerous apologists have associated refection of rabbits with "cud chewing". If you go that route, you run into the problem of the "Swine chewing a cud". Swine, like rabbits consume their feces [coprophagia] -- Swine notoriously will consume the feces of other animals, including that of humans as well. (Moses emphatically states the swine does not chew a cud.) We can deduce Moses was not referring to refection in the rabbit, but rather made the same observation as Linnaeus.

http://www.aquavet.i12.com/Rabbit.htm
Further, the rabbit does not chew at all. It swallows the pellet whole. This behavior cannot be called "chewing" the cud.

I read the article on the healing crusades and have one thing to mention; It doesn't matter how "authentic" the healers are... or how correct they are in quoting exact bible verses, as long as they are doing it in the name of Jesus.
There was a time during Jesus' walk that there were groups of people in the town driving out demons in his name, yet they were not followers or disciples of Him. The disciples became angry and came to tell Jesus, thinking that it was wrong.. but, He said, "How can satan drive out satan?" and "If they are for me... how can they be against me?"
I hope you will consider this

Greetings William,
I read with great interest your response to my initial comment in your guestbook. I must say, [in my opinion], you do manifest an authentic and sincere proclamation of that which is your view of the Gospel. I contend however that our interpretation of such differs to a certain degree. As far as I am concerned, Romand 3:28 is the crux and essence regarding that which the New Testament offers regarding faith. ["Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."] In the original KOINE GREEK, Saint Paul wrote ... "logizomeqa gar dikaiousqai pistei anqrwpon cwris ergwn nomou", [If Koine Greek is not readable please refer to http://www1.uni-bremen.de/~wie/GNT/Romans.html, or other Greek New Testament resource.] Martin Luther clarified the meaning of such; Sola Fide means "by Faith alone". Regarding the theology of AGAPE, which I personally promulgate, ["nuni de menei pistis elpis agaph ta tria tauta meizwn de toutwn hagaph"], [If Koine Greek is not readable please refer to http://www1.uni-bremen.de/~wie/GNT/Corinth1.html, or other Greek New Testament resource.] AGAPE is the absolute epitome of that which is essential; all else, as vital at it may be is tangential!

Damian Stone (159)
July 17, 2005

I am Damian Stone. I beseech you to remain cognizant of the following; without doubt there is no faith. Many are searching for that which is the answer, and hence, I proclaim such; AGAPE Love is God and God is AGAPE Love! Indeed, Love is God; God is Love!

Damian,
Whenever the Bible speak of a relationship between faith and doubt, doubt is always a hindrance to faith, not an aid to faith. See Matthew 14:31; 21:21; Romans 14:23; 1 Timothy 2:8; James 1:6.

You are correct, God is love. But that is not the complete answer which people need. Folks need to "...know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (Jn 8:32). Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life..." (Jn 14:6) He also said to the Father, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." (Jn 17:17). Not only must we acknowledge that God is love, but we must become intimately acquainted with God's word, and with His Son, Jesus Christ. Of Jesus, the writer of Hebrews said, "And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him." (Heb 5:9). Thus, let us learn God's word and be obedient to it. That is the answer which man needs to find.

As I at the site today, the article on the main page is dated July 10, 2005, which was the past Lord's day. Another article will be uploaded tomorrow, Lord willing. Likewise, the Answering The Atheist article is the most recent available. Is there some portion of our web site that I've neglected to keep up to date?
Thanks for your feedback.

I appreciate your commentary, but I notice that you and your wife have been married nearly 13 yrs and yet no children. Is this the Lord's doing? and if not, is this not a contradiction? God's unqualified blessing to a husband and wife is children! Ps 127:5, Ps 128 "behold that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord." "a joyful mother of children," "Her children shall arise up and call her blessed."

Birth control is the unchallenged sin of the Twentieth Century church. And to speak very plainly, your bio seems to indicate that at some future point you will begin a family. Satan has robbed the average Christian couple of countless blessings by whispering in their ear, "Unhappy is the man that hath his quiver full of them."

Hi
Re Mark 16:18
Thanks for another prompt reply to my question and for taking the time to respond.

You replied: "You are correct, these things are recorded in the Bible, but that does not mean they are for us today."

I am sorry but I thought that all of the Bible was as relevant and true today as it was when written and had always been so. Also that it is relevant not just to us but to everybody on earth. If some parts are not "for us today" and others are, then you are contradicting the value and relevance of the Bible which we all believe in.

Are there any other parts of the Bible which are not "for us today"? Who will decide what they are? Are you suggesting that we should believe in the truth of certain parts and not others? Is it a malleable book where some assertions can be ignored depending on when it is read and by whom? Can we decide that if the gospel statements of Jesus are not "for us today" then we can decide that they are "for us" again at some time in the future?

You wrote: "Several things are spoken of in the context besides the two items you mentioned..." and then go on to say that we rae not seriously to accept any of them. You are not extending the list of things which we are not to believe as true today. You seem to suggest that because they are unusual events, it would be unreasonable to accept them as truth, although perhaps I am reading too much into your reply.

If all of the the statements in the bible were true/relevant once then when did some of them cease to be true? The verses you wrote do not given me any impression that we are given the freedom of interpretion or that it is explained:

You cited Heb 2:1-4
I have read this in several verses and the verses exhort us to pay heed to God's message as, not only have we heard the word, but He has additionally given us signs and wonders to confirm it. The verse does not say that the age of such wonders has ceased. Indeed in 1 Cor 12:10 we are told that God has given, as a manifestation of the Spirit, various abilities and powers including "working of miracles" In 1 Cor 12;28 we are told that God has appointed in the body of the church/assembly people who possess some of these manifestations, including "miracle workers". (Although they come fourth in the heirarchy after teachers.)

You cited 1 Cor 13:8-10
Again I have reffered to these verses in several versions and you have misinterpreted them. They indicate that love (or charity) will outlast many things, including all languages (or tongues). There is no reference to demons being cast out, miraculous healing or other miracle working. Again in this passage from the Bible there is no indication that anything which Jesus told us has become untrue or invalid or has expired after a certain period of time.

You wrote: "In the first century, you would no doubt see these things, but now, the miraculous has served their (sic) purpose (to confirm the word of God, Heb 2:1-4), and have ceased." God worked miracles for thousands of years before Jesus, so why did they cease? Their purpose has not been served as, in this present day many people still need such things to confirm the word of God. Was there a particular date when miracles ceased or some occurence which caused them to cease?

You wrote: "...even if these continued to this day..." reiterating that you believe that something which Jesus has told us does not hold true today.

As someone who reads the Bible every day I am shocked that you can say that any portion has ceased to be true, particularly some of the gospel statements of Jesus. How can you claim personally to know what parts are untrue and true? How can you claim that there is some sort of expiry date to their truth?

Re 2 Samuel 21:19 - "Who killed Goliath"

Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes I am aware that there is another instance of David being quoted as Goliath's killer, but the contradiction with 2nd Samuel 21:19 is not any less perplexing.

Also perplexing is the apparent fact that the translators of the KJV (and others) would insert a phrase to make their version of this contradictory segment fit in with the other two passages. The use of inverted commas in some versions almost seem to be coded admission of the manipulation

I was brought up to believe in the inerrancy of the bible but become suspicious that there is contradiction within it and seeming manipulation of the facts by various translators.

Why does the Catholic Bible have seven more books in its Old Testament than the Protestant Bible?

Gordon,
Good question. The additional books in the Catholic Bible are called the Apocrypha, which literally means "doubtful". The additional books included by the Catholics are: Tobit, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, and Baruch. These books were not considered to be part of the Scripture by the early church, but were included by the Catholics over time. For notes on what books belong in the Bible, visit

Hi
I was inspired to read recently in Mark 16:18 that believers "shall take up venomous snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison it shall do them no harm whatever."

Have you ever tried drinking deadly poison or handled venomous snakes? Do you recommend we try it in our church? It's in the Bible so it must be true mustn't it?

2 Samuel 21:19 - "Who killed Goliath" - unfortunately your comments here only refer to the KJV, where the translators deviated from the original Hebrew. They applied italics to the words "the brother of" to highlight this deviation. The NIV and NASB are faithful to the original Hebrew, which existed long before the KJV translators

Frank

Frank, I'm curious, what do you do with 1 Chronicles 20:5, which identifies the one killed by Elhanan as "Lahmi, the brother of Goliath"? It would seem the KJV has correctly rendered 2 Samuel 21:19.

In your Guest Book exchanges with Mark Ryan you dare to seek to "take away" from the easy to understand word "all" (Matthew 26:52) as spoken by Yeshuwa' HaMeshiyach. That "all" clearly excludes none is clearly confirmed by every dictionary in the land such as "all(a): quantifier; used with either mass or count nouns to indicate the whole number or amount of or every one of a class; "we sat up all night"; "ate all the food"; "all men are mortal"; "all parties are welcome" (Ref:Cogsci princeton.edu).

When anything less than "all" is indicated then the word employed is "some" as we read in Matthew 23:34 "...some of them..." etc. Also your master Paul in his very same letter to Timothy used the words "some" (2 Timothy 2:18) and "all" (2 Timothy 1:15). If your deceptive explanation is to be believed then perhaps you can explain to visitors to your web site why Paul did not use the word "some" in 2 Timothy 1:15 as he did in 2 Timothy 2:18???

Your reply please.

I have forwarded your explanation for your not publishing his post in your Guest Book to my friend who may or may not contact you.

Now to the more serious matter which concerns your PUBLIC DENIAL of the plain words of Yeshua the Messiah :"All who take the sword shall perish by the sword" (Matthew 26:52). That you are a self-confessed unbeliever not only in the Person but the words of Yeshua the Messiah is now plain for all to see. You dare to question the infallible declaration which was made; not by your 'jesus' which is the name of Satan declared by him to his apostle Paul: "I am jesus" (Acts 9:5); but by The Divinely appointed Messiah, "Yeshuwa' HaMeshiyach" (Matthew 1:1). The purposes of your denials of the plain words of Yeshuwa' HaMeshiyach is so that you can promote the lies and deceptions of Paul the apostle of Satan whom Yeshuwa' HaMeshiyach described as "My Enemy" (Matthew 13:28, 39).

From your unbelieving heart you dare to write "Are there none who have taken up the sword who have died in some other fashion"? . The answer to your diabolical question is NONE! NONE! NONE!. For disciples of Yeshua the Messiah, His plain word "ALL" (Matthew 26:52) excludes NONE. I urge the visitors to your web site to take note and beware of the unbelief emanating from your web site.

As this is my last response and ties in with my other posts in your guest book I ask that you therefore publish this my latest reply on the matters discussed.
Thank you
Mark Ryan

Shalom
Your refusal to publish in your guest book my challenge (copy below) to your article on the "devil and false apostle 'Paul'" (Matthew 13:28,39. Rev 2:1) shows that you are of "the cowardly and the unbelieving" (Rev 21:8)

That Paul is the false apostle and the anti-messiah; warned about by Yeshuwa' The Messiah; is proven by the evil fruits dripping from the bad tree of Christianity founded in Antioch in Syria by Paul and by the lies preached by him. Yeshuwa' HaMeshiyach (Yeshuwa' the Messiah) declares that "by their fruits you will know them" and "a bad tree CANNOT produce GOOD FRUIT" (Matthew 7:17, 18). Barrett's "World-wide Encyclopedia of Christianity" records in the 1988 edit ion: " In Christianity there are in the region of 28,000 (YES! Twenty Eight Thousand) different denominations" and further describes this as "Sectarianism run riot". This official Christian Encyclopedia also agrees with the Divine Judgement in writing: "(the members of) these distinct denominations ALL HATE ONE ANOTHER".
WORSE STILL 'PAUL' PREACHED THE LYING "ABOMINATION" (Exodus 23:7. Proverbs 17:15) which he called "another gospel" (2 Cor 11:4) in which he teaches THE LIE concerning his "god that JUSTIFIETH THE UNGODLY" (Romans 4:5). 'PAUL and his CHRISTIAN MINISTERS give FALSE assurances to "ungodly...sinners" concerning his "god that JUSTIFIETH the UNGODLY" (Romans 4:5).
YEHVAH Elohiym (Exodus 9:30) emphatically declares: "I WILL NOT JUSTIFY THE UNGODLY"(Exodus 23:7) and further makes it clear: "HE (Paul) THAT JUSTIFIETH THE UNGODLY, AND HE (Paul) THAT CONDEMNETH THE JUST, EVEN THEY BOTH ARE AN ABOMINATION TO YEHVAH" (Proverbs 17:15).
Paul is not only an "ABOMINATION" in the eyes of YeHVaH Elohiym but Paul's deceptive "signs and wonders" never deceived "the twelve apostles of The Lamb" (Rev 21:14). Paul's name is NOT WRITTEN amongst "the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb". Unfortunately 'Paul' and his christian ministers have led millions within the 28,000+ Christian denominations in "through the broad gate that leads to everlasting destruction"

Surprise! surprise you published my posting in your Guest book and indeed supplied a reply. Why am I surprised? I am aware of at least one other posting from another person which you failed to publish and which certainly had no "profanity" or "web address" in its contents. So your protestations to the contrary are a shrewd smokescreen. Visitors to your web site should beware. The facts are that christian followers of Paul cannot bear to be challenged.

Now to your attempted reply. Reluctantly you concede that Paul the false apostle and enemy of Yeshua The Messiah was rejected by "ALL IN ASIA" but in a very Pauline fashion you "subtly" (Gen 3:1) seek to cancel out your reluctant admission by slipping in your qualifying statement "but he certainly did not mean absolutely every person".

Well! well! now since when does the word "ALL" not mean "absolutely every person"?????

Your attempt to overturn the plain meaning of the word "ALL" in your further failed attempt to give credence to your master Paul only serves to confirm that indeed Paul and his gullible followers are wallowing in wilful diabolical delusion.

The plain evidence is that Paul is guilty as charged. He was NEVER "a disciple of Yeshua the Messiah" (Acts 9:26) and neither are his deluded followers. Hence the mess in the world caused by christianity as well as millions of lost souls led by Paul and his ministers.

Please publish.
Thank you.

Your attemtped rebuttals of the proofs that Paul was a false apostle have failed miserably.
You write "In fact, the apostles received Paul, giving himthe right hand of fellowship (Gal 2:9; 2 Pe 3:15)". That such a claim only made by Paul is blatantly untrue is recorded by Luke in Acts 9:26 where he points out that despite the alleged supporting evidence from Paul's disciple Anananias "When he (Paul)came to Jerusalem, he was trying to associate with the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple". That th
