About Us
We are simply Christians -- nothing more, nothing less. We are an assembly of Christians with no denominational affiliation, seeking to worship and serve the Lord according to the pattern established in His word. We have no human creed, manual, confession or catechism, but rely wholly upon the Bible as our source of authority in religious practice and doctrine. We endeavour to maintain first century Christianity (that which you can read about in the Bible) in the twenty-first century.
We presently meet Sunday mornings at 76 Ordnance Street, in the Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, meeting room C (map) and Wednesday nights in a member's home, at 1449 Montreal Street (map). For more info, call 613-542-3354.
Meet our evangelist, William J. Stewart
William was born in Kingston (April 1974), and raised in Bancroft, Ontario. He obeyed the gospel and was added to the Lord's church August 1991, at the age of 17. He began preaching full-time in May 1996.
On October 24, 1992, William was joined in marriage to Shelly (Timmins) Stewart (see right). They have no children yet, but look forward to raising a family in the training and admonition of the Lord, should they be so blessed to do so.
William participates in the recording of a radio program along with Tom Rainwater, who works with the church located at Canastota, NY. This program is aired weekly along the I-90 corridor by the Eastside Church of Christ (Manchester, NY), and in Eastern Ontario by the Lord's church meeting in Kingston, ON. Besides maintenance of this site, William is webmaster for the site operated by the Tri-County Church of Christ (Watertown, NY). Most material appearing on that site is penned by Keith Sharp, who works with the church there.
